Sell your boat or jet ski. Keep the final say.

More time in storage than on the water? List your boat or jet ski for free, reach Copart and public buyers, and decide which offer to accept.

Two buyer networks. The public, andCopart
Your watercraft. Your decision.

The highest bid is an offer. You decide what happens next.

Put your boat or jet ski in front of buyers while you keep control of the price.

When a seven-day auction ends, you have 24 hours to accept or decline the highest offer. If the price doesn't work for you, pass at no cost.

How watercraft auctions work

From your first photo to buyer pickup

Here's what happens when you choose a seven-day auction.

1

Show buyers your boat or jet ski

Add the year, make, model, engine information, condition, photos, and proof of ownership. Note engine hours if known and whether a trailer is included. Submit for review at no listing cost.

2

Buyers compete for seven days

Once approved, your watercraft is visible to Copart and public buyers. Choose local or nationwide reach. Buyers can bid during the seven-day auction.

3

The top bid becomes an offer

When bidding closes, review the highest offer in your account. Your boat or jet ski hasn't sold yet.

Offer, not a sale
4

You accept or you pass

You have 24 hours to accept or decline. If you pass or let the offer expire, there's no seller fee. You can relist with your photos and description.

Payment and pickup

After you accept, agree on payment and collection with your buyer, including any trailer or transport arrangements. Update the sale in QuickAuction. The seller fee applies when the sale completes.

What it costs

Free to list. A flat fee when it sells.

Know your seller fee before you list your boat or jet ski. If it doesn't sell or you decline the offer, you owe no seller fee.

Seller paysAmount
To list an item$0
Sold under $500$10
Sold $500 to just under $5,000$40
Sold $5,000 and up$95
Didn't sell, or you passed$0
Fees are before any applicable sales tax. Your seller fee is charged to the card on your account when the sale completes.

Flat, not a percentage

For a completed sale of $5,000 or more, the seller fee is $95. It does not increase as a percentage of your sale price.

Your buyer pays their own fee

Buyers pay a separate 6% fee on completed purchases. That fee is billed to the buyer, not deducted from your sale price.

Selling often?

QuickAuction Unlimited is $500 per year and waives seller fees on completed sales. Compare plans on the Pricing page.

Nothing is deducted from the sale

You arrange payment directly with your buyer. QuickAuction bills your seller fee separately when the sale completes.

Watercraft seller questions

Know before you list your watercraft

Do I have to accept the highest bid?

No. The highest bid is an offer. You have 24 hours to accept or decline it. If you decline, you owe no seller fee.

What does it cost to sell a boat or jet ski?

Listing is free. On a completed sale, the seller fee is $10 below $500, $40 from $500 to just under $5,000, or $95 from $5,000 up. Fees are before any applicable sales tax. QuickAuction Unlimited waives seller fees for an annual subscription.

What should I include in my watercraft listing?

Prepare the year, make, model, engine details, photos, and proof of ownership. Include engine hours if known, hull condition, and any known damage. State whether the trailer and accessories are included, and show them in your photos.

Can I reach boat and jet ski buyers near me?

Yes. Choose a local radius from 25 to 500 miles or open your listing nationwide. QuickAuction connects listings with Copart's buyer network and public buyers.

Who arranges watercraft payment and pickup?

After you accept, QuickAuction shares contact details so you and the buyer can arrange payment and pickup directly. Confirm the collection location and whether a trailer, loading assistance, or other transport is needed.

Can I set an Asking Price instead of running an auction?

Yes. Choose Inventory when you create the listing, set an Asking Price, and review offers over the 30-day listing period. You still decide whether to accept an offer.
